Local-first
Privacy & Memory
Aura is a local instrument. Your thoughts, concepts, memories, and settings live in this browser and nowhere else. Nothing is sent to a server unless you choose to connect one yourself.
Your data stays on this device
Stored in your browser's local storage. Clear your browser data and it is gone - so keep a backup if you want one.
Optional: connect your own model
By default Aura runs its built-in heuristic engine - no network, no key. You can opt in to a custom LLM endpoint. Credentials stay in this browser and are only used if you enable them.
Stored locally only. Never sent unless you enable the custom model.
Memories
A few notes you want to keep. These are stored locally like everything else.
Restraint is a choice, not a default. Aura should be quiet until it is useful.
The garden grows when you let the messy thoughts in first.
